Andrew
Forrest
Baker
Andrew Forrest Baker’s novels and short story collections explore themes of religion, philosophy, death, and queerness through the lens of an exploding southern gothic firestorm. He’s interested in writing that challenges the notion of what fiction can and should do, all the while nodding toward the dime store paperback that tops every guilty pleasure reading list. He creates work with a striking combination of pop, grit, and philosophy that is surprising, sentimental, and maybe a little bit strange.
Andrew received his BFA in Creative Writing from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He lives and work in Atlanta, Georgia.
In addition to writing, Andrew is also a founder and Programs Director for the Collaborative Living Initiative for Equity, a Georgia-based 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to sustainable, affordable housing and communities.
